On a Saturday morning of 23 May 2026, we welcomed a beautiful group of parents and children to Bedok Public Library for our experiential workshop, "Little Moments, Big Connection." It was a precious pocket of time dedicated simply to slowing down and being together.
We began our journey by grounding our senses together before gently splitting into our separate circles.
My wonderful co-facilitator, Miss MeeThoo, led the children on a beautifully engaging, mindful jungle adventure. She held the space with so much joy and skill, helping the little ones explore their breath and emotions through play. Meanwhile, I held space with the parents to explore the beautiful reality of modern parenting, sharing how mindful presence can help us respond to our children with clarity and kindness.
The most moving part of the morning was the reunion. After their separate adventures, the children returned to the room. The space softened completely as families naturally gravitated into warm, grounding hugs.
Right after this gentle landing, the children became the "teachers," guiding their parents through the Starfish Breathing practice they had just practiced with Miss MeeThoo. We closed face-to-face, holding hands and sharing a quiet ritual of appreciation: “Thank you for being here with me today.” ### Looking Forward
A heartfelt thank you to Ms. Lisa (NLB) for her coordination, to Ms. Aina (NLB - Bedok) for her kind onsite support, and to every family who joined us.
Miss MeeThoo (Tulip Meadow's Special Guest Mindfulness Teacher) and I look forward to our upcoming runs in June and July, where we will continue to grow calm together, one breath at a time.
