The intention behind our Journeying Inward: Awakening SEEDS of Mindfulness workshop was simple: to create a dedicated, physical sanctuary where we could step off the treadmill of daily life and learn how to pause, connect, and return.
Last weekend, at the beautiful Skydome at the Lifelong Learning Institute, that intention came to life.
One of the most profound realizations from this workshop is that a truly mindful space is not dependent on one person. It is created by the collective intent of everyone who enters it.
Seeing the photos of our setup at the Skydome, with its soft light and beautiful cloud-patterned walls, my heart felt incredibly full. The energy, the intention, and the peace of the room were completely present.
I want to extend my deepest, most heartfelt gratitude to Ms. Hwa MeeThoo, who stepped in to facilitate with such profound grace, expertise, and warmth. Because of her, our small circle of participants was held in the safest, most supportive hands.
Each participant received their own custom batik tote bag containing their Companion Journal and pen—small, tactile reminders of the rhythm of practice to take home with them. It was a joy to see photos of our guests holding these kits, knowing a piece of Tulip Meadows is now sitting in their homes.
While the days leading up to the workshop brought an unexpected need for me to pause due to health challenges, witnessing the workshop from afar proved something far more beautiful: the resilience of our community and the strength of the SEEDS framework we shared.
The workshop flourished, and I am already looking forward to what comes next. Over the next six weeks, I will be stepping into our 1:1 Companion Conversations with our participants. I cannot wait to connect with each of them in a quiet, unhurried digital space to hear how their own journey of "returning to self" is unfolding.
This workshop was a seed I’ve been nurturing for a very long time. Watching it bloom was a beautiful testament to the power of our practice. I am already quietly preparing and dreaming of our next run—and I cannot wait to welcome you into the circle.
With warmth, resilience, and gratitude,
Tulip Meadows
